Design for a heartbeat

The emerging field of cardio-immunology highlights the significant impact of chronic inflammation on cardiovascular health, identifying new therapeutic targets and risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Immune cell activity, especially in the context of clonal hematopoiesis and somatic mutations like the Y chromosome loss, has been shown to influence cardiovascular health, fueling disease through both direct tissue interactions and systemic inflammatory responses.

The Aplanalb Lab – a laboratory, connected to the Goethe University in Frankfurt – is doing research in the field of cardiovascular health. Permanent Temporary helped the lab to communicate to its followers, to scientists around the globe and upcoming students in a modern and simple way.

We developed a corporate design that stands out in the market, as well as being unique and recognizable. A distinct and clear color palette was developed to attract attention and simple typography was designed to address the target audience eloquently and consistently across all media. From presentation slides and a wordmark to the website, everything was connected within a unified design system.

The website is responsive and can be viewed consistently on all devices. We wrote it completely independently using simple and very fast programming code. This creates a straightforward and appealing user experience, especially on mobile devices. An interactive 3D model finishes of the whole.
