Experimental type design

Project description:
A Modular-Type-System
This artistic and experimental typeface is a modular structure composed of digitized, hand-drawn lines that moves between construction and intuition. Each letter is built from recurring elements, yet no form is exactly like another. The result is typographic imagery that speaks its own visual language—raw, rhythmic, and organic. In the fusion of hand drawing and digital structure, hybrid forms emerge—graphically precise, yet full of individual character. The typeface works within a grid, but it comes alive in the spaces between. Experimentation is the driving force behind creative processes, searching for new forms, expressions, and visual codes beyond the familiar.
The individual letterforms were printed onto posters using offset printing and can be combined modularly – creating a large-format typographic construction kit. Words are formed analog, in space.
The project was complemented by a designed and published book that documents the structure and functionality of the type system.
